Hey Jay! It is indeed Johnny Cash singing his version of Nine Inch Nail’s, “Hurt.” He recorded it shortly before his death.

I like how you used the letter-writing device to propel the different plots forward all in one episode. Great job, as always! And I agree with Jay that the Johnny Cash song was perfect.
