Toppie was quite surprised when he listened to this episode recently, to discover that it uses the old Smellcast music opener — which means it must have been recorded sometime back in April or May of 2010. Toppie says, “I really didn’t think it was that old because it seems like only yesterday that I put it together. There really is no reason it was never released. It was not uncommon for me to stockpile episodes for those occasions when I just didn’t have anything ready to go. Somehow, I guess I just never latched onto this one particular episode when I needed something to publish.”
Here it is now, at last, for your listening enjoyment!
Toppie recalls the cartoons he remembers watching the most on the television from his far flung youth — back when he and his older brother watched in wide eyed anticipation — as only children can — those wonderful cartoons of action and suspense! Thrill to these sound clips of yesterday when cartoons actually had some meat on their bones and captivating content that entertained generations!
Along the way you will learn some interesting facts about the cartoon industry and how it had to invent a whole new kind of animation for the burgeoning medium of television!
