How’s Your Outstanding Debt?  Toppie receives a letter about the Consumer Debt Initiative.  Is it a scam or is it real? Even though 2010 is the year that Toppie will be completely out of debt, he wonders if he should have declared bankruptcy years ago.  Toppie describes his old hidey-hole apartment he spent ten years of his life living in.  Suddenly Toppie explodes and goes into a rant about his ex-lover, explaining why he signed away his future.  Let the consumer beware!  BEWARE CONSUMER!!!!!  BEEEEEEEEEEEEWAARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Moral of the story? Read the fine print, especially when it comes to relationships.

Episode 19: Two Brothers, One House

Toppie tells the sordid tale of a piece of realstate that appears to be in limbo.  Actually it’s the house Toppie is living in — formerly his Grandmother’s house, now owned by his father, mother and uncle.  As much as Toppie is greatful to his parents for allowing him to stay there, and as much as he loves the old place, he frankly wishes his future living situation could be resolved, but unfortunately there seems to be no solution to this realestate conundrum. Thus a tale of two brothers, one house. Toppie wonders how anyone can afford to own a home.

Episode 11: All Signs Point to Yes

Toppie talks about being near the finish of a five year plan to pay off his massive credit card and loan debt. Yes, he’s happy to announce that 2010 is his year of being debt free.  This is in no small thanks to his parents who allowed him to move back home so he could get back on track. Another great piece of news is a raise in pay at work.  It’s merely a cost of living increase for which Toppie is greatful, but aside from that, uncertainty reigns supreme as future lay-offs loom on the horizon.

Continuing on the money front, Toppie also discusses health care in America.  Does Obama’s administration have an adequate grasp of this whole affair?  Hmmm…

Also: Toppie’s failing night vision; and a fun trip to a local apple festival where Toppie got to spin wool!  Pretty cool huh?
